Another fav anime is Yuyu Hakusho aka Ghost Fighters...
Like it because it's full of SF elements... The four fighters, Yusuke Urameshi, Kazuma Kuwabara, Hiei Jaganshi and Youko Kurama aka Mimamino Shuuichi, have to fight with they powers (spiritual power and demon power, cuz three of them are demons)to deffet demons which want to take over the Ningenkai...
Beside these four fighters, there are other persons that help them in the fights with demons...

His History
At the begining of the anime he was just a simple boy that was skipping school and had problems at home... but one day, when skipping from school a boy was playing in the street while a car came in and was about to hurt the boy... but Yusuke acted quickly and saved the boy, but... he died...
A girl named Botan came to Yusuke and told him dar he didn't supose to die at that moment and that there was a way for him to come back to life... he accepted Botan's offer, and she took him to her boss, Lord Koenma Prince of the Spirit World, and the helped Yusuke come back to life...
From that moment he became the Reikai Tentai and obtained a power called Spirit Gun...
Yusuke had to fight with three powerful demons, Hiei Kurama and Gouki who stoled the treasures of Reikai. Yusuke helped Kurama with his mother and Kurama helped Yusuke to defeat Hiei...
Yusuke went to Genkai to capture the powerful demon Rando... at the Temple, he met Kuwabara, they knew each other from the begining but weren't friends... in Genkai's Tournamet they became friends and captured Rando... Yusuke was the winner of the Tournamet and from that day he became Genkai's student...
When he came back, there was another case waiting for him, The Maze Castel in which lie the Four Saint Beasts... Kuwabara and Yusuke hurried to the Castel, but they were attacked by monsters... just in time Hiei an Kurama came in to help them... the four of them deffeted the Four Saint Beasts and rescued the Human World...
An evil Human has kiddnaped a Kourime named Yukina... Yusuke and Kuwabara had to rescue her from the Toguro Brothers... By the way Kuwabara fell in love with Yukina... after a fight with the Toguro Brothers they won and saved Yukina...
But what they didn't know was that the Toguro Brothers weren't dead... and they invited Yusuke, Kuwabara, Hiei and Kurama to participate in the Dark Tournament... The four of them won the Tournament and headed home...
An ex-Reikai Tentai wanted to open a gate so that de demons can wonder in the Human World... Yusuke and the others had to stop him, but Sensui, the ex-Reikai Tentai, only wanted to fight with Yusuke... after a battle with Sensui Yusuke died and let to job of sealing the gate to Hiei, Kuwabara an Kurama... But Yusuke was reborn as a Mazoku, a demon, cuz his father was Raizen, The King of Demon World... with his new power he deffeated Sensui...
After the battle with Sensui, Raizen sent men to call Yusuke to the demon world... he decited to go.. there he met his father and his father helped Yusuke to become stronger than he was so that, in the day Raizen will die, he will rule over Demon World along with Yomi and Mukuro... after his father's dead, he organised a Tournament in which the winner will become the ruler of the Demon World... but neighter Yusuke nor Yomi nor Mukuro won the Tournament... but Enki...
After to years he came back to the Human World to merry Keiko as he promised...

His History:
born in the village of Koorime (ice maidens) he was seperated at his birht from his family beacause he was the forbitten child (a Koorime gieves birth to a girl every 100 years, but when a Koorime has relations with a man,
a boy will be born). He has a twin and half sister, Yukina.
He was raised by a pack of bandits and had become one of them. As he grew, he felt the pleasure of killing monsters and the bandits abandoned him.
From that day he started to search for the village where he was born to get revenge.
As he searched for the village many bandits wanted to steal his precious Jewel, his only memory of his mother, but none succeeded until one of them managed to make him loose it... Finding the village and his lost Jewel became even more difficult, so in order to find them he went to get a Jagan implant.
The makai doctor, Shigure, implanted the Jagan eye with the condition that Hiei must not reveal his true identity to his sister, Yukina.
After the implant he was powerless so he trained with Shigure for a few days, learning his sword tehnic, in order for his powers to come back.
After he left, in a few days he found his mother's village and there all the koorimes where frightened of him. It was like ice pumped through their veins. He lost his desire for revenge, but he learned about his sister Yukina who had gone to the human world to find her lost brother. A new challenge had begun: he had to find his sister.
He went to the human world where he met Kurama. At first they fought each other, but because Kurama treated his wonds, they became partners.
He, Kurama and Gouki, a demon thief, stole the reikai jewels. This leads to another adventure in Hiei's life because he met Yusuke, the reikai tentei.
He fought Yusuke and lost, but remained friends with him. He found his lost sister, but didn't tell her who he was.
Next was the demon tournament. Invited to this tournament, he couldn't refuse, so he teamed up with Yusuke, Kurama, Kuwabara and Genkai to defeat the Toguro Brothers...
In this tournament Hiei becomes more powerful, he's able to use Ensatsukokuryuha, even though it's not yet perfect.
All 5 won the tournament and continued with their lives.
Next episode of Hiei's life is Black Chapter... an ex-reikai tentei wanted to open a tunnel which would connect makai and ningenkai. So Yusuke, Hiei, Kurama and Kuwabara stopped him.
After this interesting chapter, Mukuro invites Hiei to come to makai in order to serve him and become more powerful
